On Thursday 15th we celebrated our bilingual day, this year we went to Doña Blanca, a natural park in Don Benito, where we had the chance to enjoy an extraordinary outdoors day, with plenty of activities and, of course, a nice lunch with pizzas to put the icing on the cake.

Our students have worked on this topic with the Ethic Values teacher, Juan Carlos López and the English teacher Maribel Delgado. After watching the movie they have dealt with the Human Rights topic and talked about it. Later they have developed some projects to explain the story and the related topic to our Etwinning colleagues in the project I Am Because You are.

Last Thursday, May 30th we have celebrated our Bilingual Day in IES LUIS CHAMIZO, the students faced some challenges and tried to solve them faster than other teams to win. Once the gymkhana was over we enjoyed a delicious meal with all the bilingual students in our garden.

OUR FRIENDS FROM IES JOSÉ MANZANO INVITED US TO VISIT THEIR SCHOOL BILINGUAL WEEK AND WE TOOK PART IN A VERY FUN GYMKHANA PROMOTING THE USE OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE IN OTHER SUBJECTS SUCH AS GEOGRAPHY, TECHNOLOGY, MATHS, P.E., BIOLOGY AND MUSIC. STUDENTS FROM BOTH SCHOOLS DID A GREAT JOB AND ENJOYED A DIFFERENT DAY IN AN OUTDOOR ACTIVITY... WE HAD A WONDERFUL DAY.
